This is a heavy duty rubber seal used for Ø280 mm steam cylinders. It's primary function is to create a pressure-tight and watertight connection between the steam cylinder body and its lid to ensure no steam escapes into the internal cabinet during operation. 

We recommend replacing the gasket every 5,000 operating hours or after 3 years at the latest.
