This is designed for steam cylinders with a 200mm diameter. It's primary job is to securely lock the system cylinder lid to the man boiling vessel to ensure a pressure-tight seal during operation. 

We recommend replacing this item if it is visibly damaged, warped, or if the tightening screw fails to create a secure seal to prevent steam from escaping. This item should be inspected typically every 2,500 to 5,000 operating hours.
